Bob bought this truck from Jesse a couple of years ago and has modified this truck to suit his towing needs. The M-677 is now sitting on a Ύ ton Chevy frame and has a custom bed hand built by Bob himself. Bob is trying to incorporate 73-87 GM drivetrain components as much as possible to assure easy accessibility if something is needed while he is out on the road with his truck.
Bob had a hard time trying to find 9 bed sides when building his bed so he had to come up with some creative thinking. He bought two 6 bed sides and one 8 side that he cut in half to cover the total length. The floor is stock Chevy that he filled in along with the mounting framework and the whole unit really looks factory made. He also sectioned the stock rear fenders in the bed to accommodate the custom widened bed.
Heres the grunt of this towing machine, a 500 cu. in. Cadillac thumper back up by the bulletproof Turbo 400 transmission.
There are many awesome features that Bob has incorporated into his truck. This is just one of them, a cool storage box under the floor on both sides of the truck. Bob hopes to have his truck running under its own power by next years Roundup.
