It looks like Bob did get accomplished his goal for this year’s Roundup, his truck running under its own power.  Though it still came over on a trailer he now has the “3T’s” accomplished. Starting, stopping and steering!  Like most of us Bob got most of his work done in the month before the event.  Nothing like a deadline to get things done!  Here’s a quick reminder of his project.  It is a 1964 M-677 cab sitting on a 1984 Chevy 1-ton chassis.  It has a Dana 60 front, a 14-bolt rear, a 1970 Cadillac 500 cu.in. motor with a Turbo 400 transmission and a New Process 205 Transfer Case.  Bob’s main goal is to keep the drivetrain and most of its components 1984 Chevy stuff so if he ever needs something out on the road he’ll have easy access at most parts stores.  He uses a custom 4-core radiator and custom shroud to keep things cool and uses a belt driven clutch fan.  I really like this project and hope to see it drive to the Roundup on its own next year.  Great work and craftsmanship Bob!
