Brian has attended a few Roundups now and his FC-170 always catches my eye! Very nice detail and a well thought out truck. It runs the large Chevy 6-cylinder and has one of the steepest dump beds around! You’ll notice right away that it’s a less common standard cab with a Ramsey winch and a custom bumper. I also really like the hub caps that are on Brian’s truck. He actually used a lathe to cut out the centers for the lock out hubs.
With the dump bed feature the gas tank and side tool box were mounted to the frame to simplify things. It really turned out nice!
Brian kept the dash uncluttered which I can really appreciate and I love the idea of mounting a cooling fan where the radio knockout panel resides!
With the pinhole type material for the headliner & door panels nonexistent Brian devised quite the clever plan. Volkswagen’s shared similar material in their vehicles and Brian was able to acquire some of the material from a vendor a affixed it to a hardboard panel with great results! It really did turn out nice!
Hey, and what FC wouldn’t benefit from this custom addition, Power Windows!!!
