With the paint cured it was hard to resist bolting accessories back onto the Power Hoe but they took the time to do a quality wet sand and buff. Here it is with the cab all buffed out and ready for trim.
Everyone was real pleased with how conscientious the painter has been through the process and the results clearly show his effort. Even though the green and yellow contrast each other right now, once it’s all back together I believe it will be a much less obvious.
Now we have some trim starting to go back on the truck. Also all the glass except the windshield is in. The heater core and can cover are back on also. Once the front bumper and fender flares are installed the contrast will start to become more evident.
This picture shows the custom made garnish molding on the passenger side of the window. This whole configuration took some real time. The round knob in the center is turned counter clockwise to allow the passenger side window to roll down, you then just set desired window height and tighten the knob to keep the window where you want it – it works great, is very simple and seems to coincide with what they might have done back then.
Finally outside for some fresh air! This trip had an express purpose though. A little more prepping for some serious business!
It was outside to be power washed so prep on the business end of the truck can begin. Yes, we now turn our attention to the rear of the truck and some real cosmetic attention!
