Well, the owner of this truck has now eluded me for two year’s straight but I was able to snap a few shots of it at the show on Saturday.  Let’s look through this together and see if we can decipher what exactly this FC is?  OK, it’s for sure modified on a longer chassis so I assume that it’s a FC-170.  An early cooling tunnel but the engine bay has been changed because the motor configuration is a mid-mount chassis style.  You Ford guys might recognize the front suspension off hand, my guess would be a late 70’s Bronco truck with the Ford 9 inch rear end out back.  Then it looks like a military trailer converted into the rear bed of the truck.  Looking back I should have crawled under this beast and took a closer look.  It might be a complete Ford Bronco chassis with the FC cab popped on top for good measures.  In any event this did look like one capable off roader and I’m sure it will be around at future Roundup’s to unlock more details of this mystery truck!
