The bed is off the M677, frame is super clean, no pitting etc, is should clean up nice.
The bed is in pretty nice shape for an FC, I am sure the low miles and the canopy had a lot to do with it not being all rusted and torn up.
The cab is about ready to come off the frame, it is pretty well gutted.
The cab came off without a problem and is now ready for the metal work. Everything has been bagged and stored for easy reassembly as the process is reversed after the parts have been restored.
Here’s the strap configuration that was used to lift the cab off. Remember the doors were removed first.
Here’s a good view of the inside of the cab stripped down. You can see the non-typical motor opening and the clearancing that had to be done on the driver’s side to accommodate the Cerlist engine.
Now the truck is totally disassembled and ready to work on the individual pieces separately. This whole process has taken about 1 week and is moving along nicely. Kevin Sells is in charge of all of the work done at this facility and he is one talented bodyman that can really keep a project moving forward!
