Here you can see a close-up of the dump bed mechanism. It was designed and made from scratch by the former owner, Lundahl Morris. It operates by an electric over hydraulic system.
Here’s an end view of the dump bed with the floor removed. Extra bracing and supports were added to accommodate the dump feature.

This is the hydraulic unit that operates the cylinder of the dump bed. Basically it is a starter motor that runs the pump remotely from inside the cab or loosen the thumb screw and operate it directly from the detent lever.
