Yes, here it is, Jason Monday’s wild FJ-6 Fleetvan named “Mr. Treat.” Jason and his wife Milinda run a Commercial sign and vehicle wrap business in Southeast Texas and his creation must have been a result of many sleepless nights and vivid dreams! Actually Jason wanted something to show off their vehicle wrap business and I think you’ll agree that his FJ-6 is a real attention getter.
Here’s the humble beginning of Jason’s Fleetvan. Yes, it was an eBay listing the spurred his creation. Jason told me he wanted to do something really different with his new truck. I had no idea what he had in store for this former U.S. Mail carrier.
From this first build-up picture that Jason sent me I could see he had big ideas with his Fleetvan. It’s setup with front & rear axles from a FC-170 truck. Here Jason is fitting the front axle for proper clearances.
Here you can see that the front of the frame will need to be extended to fit the front leaf springs.
Now the front and rear are in place and it's time to get the rest of the driveline installed.
Here they're checking for a little articulation. I hope Jason doesn't plan on too much off-camber wheelin'!
Here's a mock small block Chevy setup installed to check for clearances. Jason is running a 350 Chevy V8 with a Turbo 350 tranny and a Spicer 18 Transfer Case.
Well, this sure is an intimidating view! I’ve been assured that aside from any pending “Terror Vehicle” legislation that might be running through the Arizona congress, Jason’s FJ-6 will be in attendance at Jesse Ybarra’s 2010 FC Roundup.
A different scene on every side! Hey Jason, I’ve come up with a brilliant idea for you. We have a mail supply chain called “Goin’ Postal” around our area. If they were to setup a delivery service you could make a sweet fleet order for them! It might be just what they’re looking for.
What more can I say? WILD!!!!
