7 1/2 foot, twin auger McKee Brothers Sno-Lander snow blower.
One of the first things Dan tackled was the lack of rear fenders. I believe these came from a trailer supply place and fit great! The rear blower engine cover is a rear tilt up style. Truck with blower unit removed. Blower driveshaft routing through the cab. Cover installed over blower driveshaft. F-head 134 4cyl with custom stainless steel overflow tank made by Dan.
The original builder of “Chomper” didn’t think his plans all the way through and did some major surgery to the grille to clear the blower with it was in the lifted position. There was no way Dan could live with that so Dan extended the blower unit enough to clear the truck and gave the old gal a new face lift. Dan stole the nose out of an old parts truck and trimmed it to fit the hole in the front of his truck. Here she's all welded up and a coat of primer applied. Good as new and a more precise hole for the PTO shaft make for a neat looking front end. Check out the overhead console Dan made for Chomper to hold a set of gauges and all the switches to start the 360, turn the shoot, lift and lower the blower, and turn the lights on. It fit perfect and doesn't block the view at all. He also made a pattern in case anyone is interested in one for their FC.
Here's the console first set in place for fit. A view of the setup from the passenger seat. 440 Chrysler V8 out and awaiting replacement.
360 V8 engine ans 4-speed installed. Transmission and linkage. Gas tank for both the FC-150 & blower motor.
