Craiger lives in Ketchikan, Alaska and this FC-170 DRW Fire Truck has been in his family for 29 years. Craiger always wanted the truck growing up but his dad had held the reins of ownership until recently. Craiger's dad started the local volunteer pond reef Fire Department back when he was 7 years old. Some 40 years later the department has been absorbed by the government and the volunteer era has ended. This truck was never part of their department. It was a GSA built vehicle and was owned by the FAA and served its life in a government hanger in Bristol bay, Alaska. Craiger is building this truck as a tribute to his dad who is still around and doing fine. Not sure what the running gear is but it looks like it sure will stand out from the crowd! The original running gear it still together and available if anyone is interested.
