Before we head out, how about a few interior pictures

I wasn't sure what to expect. It looked a little more lived in than I imagined, but it was still all there!

These film canisters were on the counter & I right away decided that they needed to come inside my truck. Everything else was lowered to floor level, as we had a 1500 mile journey to complete.

One last thing before we left. There was a little matter of a couple of tires & some deteriorated plywood on the roof.

Old guy ingenuity. Not sure who put these up there, but they surely couldn't stay!

As I was ready to leave, I asked Gary about the wildfires that were in the area just a month ago. He pointed to those mountains that were just a short distance from his house.

Here is an actual picture of the fires & a quote from Gary. " The fire was to the north of us with the winds driving the fire south towards us. My good fortune was the misfortune of Altadena as the winds shifted to the west away from us & into Altadena where the destruction & devastation was incredible."
