OK, so the deal had been made on the purchase of the 1957 FC-150 & I was hired to deliver the truck to its new owners. A time was set, but a slight wrench was thrown into the mix.
The former owner of the truck was selling his house, so the truck had to be relocated temporarily before the delivery date.
No problem, as he was local to me, I loaded up my trusty stead & went over for the pickup.
This is kind of a bittersweet picture here. My buddy had big plans for this truck. I reassured him that it was going to a great new home and would be well taken care of.
All ready for another new beginning…
The “Crew” was wondering who the new kid was, but I reassured them that She was only here for a short stay unfortunately.
I kinda dropped the ball on pictures from the final delivery. It happens every time I visit this place! I was able to snap a lunch break shot in Little Rock, Arkansas with the famous “Skating Banana”, so it wasn’t a total loss.
I made it to the final destination with “The Guy’s” in Texas. They were super excited to finally get a Narrow-track added to their collection! I brought them a little present to help celebrate their first early FC-150. A Willys News “EXTRA” Introduction Brochure of the FC Jeeps series to their model lineup!
