On the cab a small trailer axle was adapted to a custom frame. Some FC front hubs were machined down and mated to the axles so Warn lockouts could be mounted for an authentic look.

Here's the bed mocked up for height. I really love the weathered look of this build!
Tubing was added to the bottom channels of the bed to add some structual support and stub axles mounted to the framework so the bed floor will remain open.
Metal added to the rails to firm things up further and to make a secure connecting point to pin the cab and bed together.
Here's another shot of the floor removed. The U frame is pretty stout despite being only 2x3 tubing.
Here is a good shot of the tubing after the bed floor has been cut away. Now lets put these two together!
