Frank Mrkva checks out one of the first 99 trucks ordered by the Post Office Department from Willys Motors Inc. in this Dec. 15, 1958,
photo. The trucks, used for snow removal and mail box maintenance, cost $276,564 for the total order and were sent throughout the country.

Dan Laity saw this picture in the Toledo Blade dated 1-8-12 and kindly forwarded it to me.  These were made specially for the Post Office and came with a "Stratton" rear lift gate to assist in loading.  Originally 99 of these units were produced but later I believe another 50 units were ordered.
