I consider these guys the Forefather's of modern day Overlanding. Fresh out of the military in 1958, Noble Trenhan & Dean Fisher embarked on a 3 year, 80,000 mile adventure, over 6 continents. The FC-170 they built for their journey, was named "Roadrunner" & despite it being loaded 28% over it's gross vehicle weight, did survive the journey.  Not to say that it wasn't constantly tested & repaired along the way. Follow along, as some 63 years after this incredible journey, the truck has found a new steward that will painstakingly bring this truck back to it's 1959 stature.

In 2018, Dean Fisher published a book on the adventure, & it is highly recommended reading. Here is the link to the book on Amazon.
